CatalystConsult – Install and Operate
Pre-Installation Audit
We walk the facility with our customer’s team to fully understand how people and equipment are being utilized. We investigate areas of concern, and clearly identify goals and objectives. From our findings, we outline key areas for process improvement and present appropriate methods for deploying the recommendations.
Post-Installation Audit
We observe the operation at work and review procedures, process flows, and systems utilization. After analysis, we deliver a set of recommendations for operational improvement.
CatalystConsult – Warehouse Operations
Physical Inventory
We can help customers complete a physical inventory with minimal disruptions to their operations. First, we work together to determine the requirements, including safety considerations. Next we create procedures and forms tailored to our customer’s specifications. Then we bring in the team and complete the work during an off-shift.
Item Measurement
A new system, a new product line, or new racking may require validation of all item measurements. We analyze the new environment, looking for any special requirements that may be needed. After completing the measurements, we present a report and data file that includes weight and dimensions at all levels of packaging.
Optimization Audit
We define existing warehouse processes, recommend alternatives and develop a cost model, including transition costs, to allow meaningful comparisons. We also prepare a time-phased economic analysis to identify project ROI and a report that assesses the impact of qualitative and non-financial changes such as improved customer service.
CatalystConsult – Engineer
Time Standards Development
Using historical information gathered from a customer’s WMS system, Catalyst is able to establish and document relevant time standards. After loading these into the WMS, we train the facility’s staff on how to manage, maintain and use the data available.
Inbound Packaging Evaluation
We examine picking cost per piece and per carton to identify the lowest cost alternative and to project its potential savings.
Simulation
